Ryoji Ramen & Izakaya

About the restaurant and its managers...... Unlike other restaurants we visited, Ryoji's owner is not in Toronto; however, Ryoji restaurant presents another type of immigration story. The general manager, server manager, and kitchen manager all came from Okinawa. Together they gave us a complete history about Ryoji and why they became a part of Ryoji and Toronto.     The general manager and her husband were originally working in Ryoji in Okinawa. They came here 15 years ago for working holiday for 1 year. Then, they realized that Toronto had no Okinawan bars. They imagined what would happen if their workplace (Ryoji) came here and produced Okinawan food. It became their dream. After their working holiday, her husband tried to persuade their president to open a branch in Toronto. After 10 years, the dream came true. They've been running this restaurant here for 5 years. The server manager also came here for a working holiday. After she graduated from  school
